Character Design


This was fun and annoying at the same time, I decided to model a low poly ant for our game. I decided to learn hoe to use 3ds Max which is a modelling software and it an experience. The only experience I have with modelling software before this was probuilder in unity. Probuilder’s UI is easy to use, 3ds Max’s UI is not. After a struggle I eventually got used to it, though there are some mistakes I made early on that would change if I had more time.

Overall, this was a fun learning experience and a nice entry way into 3d modelling. There were times when I wanted to pull my hair our but I am still glad I was able to learn how to use this software. I decided to stick to only one animation, the idle animation, because of time and the basic animations like walking won't be seen. It was the easiest to integrate into our game.
