This week’s playtest was basically us trying to get a feel on what the players think about the mechanics. I was a mess but luckily, we were able to get our point across. The player switching mechanic worked, but we didn’t manage to make the camera follow. Which for obvious reasons made it very hard and confusing for our players to interact and move when they played as that specific character. Not only was the camera broken, but every time you picked up that character and set them down, they went flying. They walked on air and never returned to its original position.

 

As always though the yeet mechanic is the fan favourite but the respawn code seemed to just respawn everything which was…an experience. It kept the velocity of the item thrown, so when it reset back into place it continued to fly. This included the smaller character, the play-testers had fun with it, but I obviously had to fix it. This playtest was rough and filled with bugs. I just hope we can get it all fixed.
